Javascript and closures are awesome

So I have been just loving javascript lately. jQuery is what got me really into javascript, but some of the stuff you do with both is just beautiful. Little example: I am making a <a href="/mem/">new app</a>. So far there isn't much there but a somewhat Twitter-like interface. It does its updates with Ajax. First, I used jQuery to automatically make any form with ...

Theme Changes

Well, I started working on a new app (hidden for now), but part of that required jQuery. Well, I just wanted an excuse to use it. So, a lot of theming is going to be done with jQuery UI, hence some of the changes. But I wasn't immediately concerned with the styles, so some are still off. (its because of that * {background-color: black;} ...

Working on Portfolio

I am currently working on a Portfolio app. It will be a test of how reusable the other stuff I made here is. It is going to use the 'post' app (blog posts), and also a currently unused 'image' app for screenshots. It will probably also need some sort of tagging. <br/> It is currently in a working state, but is not feature complete. ...

It was bugging me that I couldn't check to see if someone posted garbage as a comment or something. Next I need to use the logging module to do some ...

Added functionality for comments. No threaded discussions at the moment, and the CSS is also currently pretty bad there, but I suppose it reads something like an IM chat log.

style update

small update. If I'm going to allow this to be seen by the world, I can't have it looking absolutely terrible. I had some 'debug' css in there to put outlines around all kinds of stuff. Got rid of that noise. I'm working on a more complete 'theme'. Then it will be back to adding features! <br/> I think I would like to add ...

Initial Upload

Yay, it worked! This was my first upload to a Google AppEngine app. Not that I didn't expect it to work, but it went so smoothly. And not only that, but everything seems to work exactly like on the dev server. Anyway, there should be more to come in the near future. This is fun.
